ABOUT THE HETET MATRIX® LEARNING PATHWAY


The Matrix® is our scaffolded learning framework, developed and proven through decades of teaching Māori weaving in-person and with remote learners, by the late Erenora Puketapu-Hetet (1941-2006) and her daughter, Veranoa Hetet.

Each lesson is designed to build intentionally upon the one before it, helping learners develop confidence, hand memory, and weaving rhythm, step-by-step.


For this reason, we encourage all learners - including experienced weavers - to begin at the beginning and follow the lessons in sequence wherever possible.
